Product Description

The senseless killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis in late May has sparked protests and calls for racial justice and social equality around the country and world. Businesses, organizations and communities are looking at their practices and procedures and we as individuals are confronting our own bias.

It is and has always been our goal at Craft Beer Cellar DC to promote equality and fair treatment of people of every color, race, gender and orientation. We want to continue to bring people together through beer and to support our community.

On Thursday, August 13, we're bringing together a panel of local brewery owners, brewers and beer guides to discuss diversity and inclusion in the craft beer community. What is the current state of the craft beer industry as it relates to diversity and inclusion? What can breweries, distributors, retailers and consumers do to practice and advocate equality? We'll hear the personal experiences from members of our panel. And of course, we'll have drinks along the way. We hope you'll join us for this important discussion and virtual tasting.

We asked each individual to pick a beer from their portfolio to share with all of us and Phil could pick any local beer he wanted. Your ticket to this event includes this mixed 6-pack of beers.

We will donate $2.00 of every ticket sold to Craft x EDU, an organization whose mission is to champion inclusion, equity, and justice in the craft brewing community through education and professional development.

Beers will be available for pickup at Craft Beer Cellar DC starting at Noon on Sunday, August 9, or you can have them delivered within DC. IMPORTANT: For delivery, please select August 9-13 as your delivery date.

Your ticket to this virtual event includes these 6 beers.

  • Denizens Lowest Lord ESB - 5.3% ABV: This Extra Special Bitter uses a blend of English and American hops leaving a floral and herbal character balanced by notes of toffee and biscuit from the malt.
  • Port City Downright Pilsner - 4.8% ABV: Brewed in the Czech tradition using 100% Pilsner malt and noble Saaz hops. Brilliant gold in color, medium-bodied with a soft, round malt profile and crisp, spicy hop character.
  • Ocelot Clash IPA - 6.2% ABV: IPA brewed with Waimea, Azacca and Columbus hops.
  • Sankofa Hypebiscus Pale Ale - 6% ABV: Organic Dried Hibiscus is the star of the show. Subtle malt notes and select hops are combined with a tropical flowery aroma, creating a unique blend of hibiscus forward flavors. 
  • Soul Mega Worldwide Pale Ale - 5.5% ABV: This American Pale Ale is a stylistic mix of several beer types from around the world. Its diverse flavors appeal to multiple flavor palates so it can be enjoyed by all. 
  • Union Old Pro Gose - 4.2% ABV: This German-style Wheat ale is brewed with coriander and salt. Thirst quenching with a peach & citrus nose followed by a prickly mouthfeel that leaves a gentle tartness and a dash of salt on the palate.
